SQL table: MASTER.PAPER_CITATIONS
Directed citation edges between papers. Each row is a single citation: the citing paper (paper_id) references the cited paper (cites_paper_id). This is a bridge/edge table over the paper cube in two roles — the citing paper and the cited paper. Use it to build citation networks, count outgoing references, and count incoming citations. citation_type is a placeholder column reserved for future classification.
