SQL table: MASTER.AUTHOR One row per academic author indexed in the Factbase system. Each author carries a fact-based AUT-prefixed identifier and a rich set of pre-aggregated activity metrics: paper counts, co-author statistics, outgoing citation counts, and incoming cited-by counts (both raw and fractional). External identifiers (ORCID, OpenAlex, Scopus, Twitter, Wikipedia, LinkedIn, Google Scholar, MAG) allow cross-referencing with upstream data sources. This cube is not yet joined to the PAPER cube; linkage will be introduced via the paper-authorship bridge table.

`slug`	string		URL-friendly version of the author’s display name. Suitable for use in web URLs and permalinks.
`name_display`	string		The author’s name as it is typically cited on the paper itself. Primary display name; reflects the exact form used in the source publication for the most part.
`name_display_alternatives`	string		Alternative forms of the author’s name (e.g. variants with initials, transliterations, or abbreviations). Stored as a delimited list. Use for fuzzy matching and disambiguation.
`name_given_name`	string		Author’s given (first) name, parsed from the full name.
`name_surname`	string		Author’s family (last) name, parsed from the full name.
`name_initials`	string		Author’s initials derived from their given and family names (e.g. “J.K.”). Use for compact display and citation-style formatting.
`author_status`	string		Categorical status of the author record. Specific values to be confirmed. Use with caution until the status vocabulary is finalised.
`author_biography`	string		Short biography fetched from an external source. May be null for authors without a publicly available bio. Suitable for display purposes; not intended for analytical filtering.
`author_first_paper_year`	string		The earliest year on record in which the author published a paper. Stored as a text field. Use for filtering and display; cast to integer for arithmetic comparisons.
`author_last_paper_year`	string		The most recent year on record in which the author published a paper. Stored as a text field. Use for filtering and display; cast to integer for arithmetic comparisons.
`author_last_institution_id`	string		Identifier of the institution associated with the author’s most recently published paper. Will join to the institution dimension once the institution cube is available.
`author_dominant_5y_institution_id`	string		Identifier of the institution the author was most frequently affiliated with across their most recent five-year publishing window.
`author_dominant_5y_nation_id`	string		Country identifier corresponding to the author’s dominant institution over their most recent five-year publishing window.
`id_orcid`	string		ORCID identifier for the author, when available.
`id_open_alex`	string		OpenAlex identifier for the author, when available.
`id_scopus`	string		Scopus author identifier, when available.
`id_twitter`	string		Twitter/X handle or identifier for the author, when available.
`id_wikipedia`	string		Wikipedia page identifier or slug for the author, when available.
`id_linkedin`	string		LinkedIn profile identifier for the author, when available.
`id_google_scholar`	string		Google Scholar profile identifier for the author, when available.
`id_mag`	string		Microsoft Academic Graph (MAG) identifier for the author, when available.
`person_id`	string		Foreign key to the PERSON table. Populated when the system has resolved this author to a known person.

`embedding_name`	string		Vector embedding of the author’s display name.
